Following on from the successful visit to the North of England in May 2006, by members of the Shetland Family History Society; it was decided to establish a group here on Tyneside to continue the interest generated by the visit.

So, if you have or think you may have Shetland ancestry, then why not come along to one of our monthly meetings
and see how we can help you find your roots.

We meet around 2pm the 3rd Wednesday of the month in the warm and friendly environment of the Central Library Cafe, Central Library, Prince George Square, South Shields, NE33 2PE.

Come along for an informal chat about your Shetland connections.
We have books, CDs and other genealogy resource material available.

A warm friendly welcome awaits.

David Bolt
Vice Chairman
