Here are some pictures from my road trip around the southern States of The USA, in March 2005, with my mate James. 4000+ miles, 10 States and 2 time-zones.
We started in Washington DC - a city named after a prominent Freemason. Evidence of their continued influence is all over the place. This was opposite the hotel.

The White House.

The Washington Monument, which was closed when I was there.

The Reflecting Pool failing to live up to its name.

The Lincoln Memorial. Nothing done by halves in this country.

The Library of Congress.

The Capitol.

This is the USS South Carolina, mooored permanently in Wilmington, South Carolina, as a museum.

Life on the road.
