I was born in Cape Town South Africa and was educated at Camps Bay Schools (Primary and High School). I studied Pharmacy at the Cape Technikon in Cape Town and received my pharmacy degree in 1972. I left South Africa for Israel in October 1974 and have practiced hospital pharmacy ever since. My reason for leaving South Africa was because of the abhorrent apartheid system that was in force. I am married to Malka Tuitou and have three daughters Limor (25), Ilanit (24) and Tohar (14). Over the years I had gained experience in a number of aspects of hospital pharmacy. I had been involved in Total Parenteral Nutrition formulations, oncology pharmacy as well as clinical pharmacy. Today I am very involved in supplying a drug information service to the hospital staff involved with treating patients.

My main interests are writing and taking part in discussions forums on the Middle East that feature in a number of prominent newspapers online. I enjoy photography and touching up old photographs on the computer. Reading thrillers is also a favorite pastime.The issue of finding a way to a just and peaceful settlement in this volatile part of the world is uppermost in my mind. Coexistance between Palestinians and Israelis is more than overdue. I am also keen on travel and "discovering" Europe. It is essential in order to refresh oneself emotionally to visit other countries. Great pleasure out of listening to Classical Music by streaming especially when concentrating on some project. Johan Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig von Beethoven are my favorite composers. The romantic composers are also part of my musical lexicon. Unfortunately I do not play any musical instrument. Maybe to some this may be fortunate.

My family are spread out over a number of continents, the U. K. South Africa, U.S.A, Canada, Australia and very few in Israel. I do  travel to South Africa occasionally to see my mother, Freda Klein, and sister, Hilary Ginsberg, who still live in Cape Town as well as many old friends. The beauty of Cape Town is unsurpassed anywhere in the world. I still consider South Africa my second home. A visit there is highly recommended.  South Africa is still very much in transition and there is a lot that one can learn about trying to reconciliate differences after so many years of suppression of the majority of the population by white rule. The people of South Africa have managed to reconcile their differences to a large extent. It is a pity that the crime rate and AIDS problem are the highest in the world.
