This race has been cancelled 1/24 British Open Championship - January 26/27 at RacewayUK @ Wildfields Farm, Woodstreet Village, Near Guildford, Surrey

I have copied below an email to me from Terry Clark
I can only apologise for the short notice of this cancellation. I have tried to persuade Terry otherwise pointing out that people have committed themselves for this weekend including hotels, travel time and car preparation but he is adamant.
In fact as far as he is concerned there will be more no future events.
Can I thank everybody for their support to-date, there has been some reat meetings, great racing and great bunch of people. I am only sorry it has to end on this rather sour note.
Thank you again for your understanding.
If you know of anybody due to come this weekend that does not have email perhaps you could kindly pass this message on to them

We have tried to contact you since last week and left several messages.

Regarding the track racing at the weekend. We need to know how many people are coming for us to work out the financial cost to us for the
weekend.
The information has not been forthcoming.
We would have to not work on Friday to clear the yard and workshop as they are full-up, and re-arrange the main workshop - and then spend
time on Monday putting it all back.
With the 7 metre sculpture in the yard and the gate it would be very difficult to make space for parking. For me paying staff wages and
for losing a day and a half work it is not financially viable for me to sponsor this weekend - so the meeting will have to be cancelled.

Sorry it is such short notice. I have been trying to solve this, but I am unable to.

1/24 Production with 16D, (Generation race cars) or contender. Hire cars available Ł5 for the night.

8 lanes means lots of track time we have at least 3 x 24 minute races every race night

Directions to Wildfields

From Guildford - Take the A323 towards Aldershot & Farnborough, turn left at the roundabout into Broad Street - signposted to Wood Street Village. Immediately before Wood Street School (just before the triangular school sign) turn left on the unmade road signposted Wildfields Farm. It's about a mile (but may seem longer due to the low average speed on the unmade road!), there's another signpost to Wildfields half way there. The Wildfields farm gate is shortly after crossing the railway. Please close the farm gate after you, and drive to the farm buildings. The track is upstairs in the large building next to the farmhouse.

From Aldershot & Farnborough - Take the A323 towards Guildford, about 1 1/2 miles after going through Normandy turn right to Wood Street Village. Immediately after Wood Street School turn right on the unmade road signposted Wildfields Farm, and proceed as above.

The address is Terry Clark, Wildfields Farm, Wood Street Village, Guildford GU3 3BP . The track has had all the curved sections rebraided. It has been refurbished and has been situated in a well decorated and lit room with areas for pit boxes. There will be tea and coffee available and sandwiches to order.
