We bought Blue Light from Abbie as a 2 year old, already a personable young colt with a love for life and from an extremely talented gene pool. His sire, Dandy+ , owned by Abbie, is an Anglo-Arab with two HOF'er grandparents, Topside and Gallant Wonder. Dandy competes very successfully on the AHA circuit and should be a great jumper. Blue's dam was Abbie's first homebred horse, DT Silver Billie . She is a gorgeous Arabian mare who already is a National Champion at four years. We very much hope that Blue Light will follow in both of his parents' footsteps and see him as a Hunter/Jumper prospect.
In his early training on the ground Blue Light has been showing off his smooth, flowing paces and copes very well with all the different excercises we throw at him. He now doesn't turn a hoof when a tractor or a tarpaulin etc. appears. A quality we hope that will turn him into a relaxed, confident show horse in the future.
