Village Hall
The Village is fortunate in having
a very useful and well-maintained Village Hall which is used for a wide range of
activities and functions. Hire charges are very reasonable, and good facilities
are available.
The Village Hall is situated on
the Village Green, and is managed by a small committee of village residents, who
oversee the general running of the hall and organise fund raising events to
cover running costs and to pay for improvements to the building. It is well used
by local organisations and holds regular events such as Stillington Under 5s
(Tuesday mornings); Women's Institute
(2nd Wednesday of each month); Gardening Club (4th Wednesday evening of each
month); Happy Hours Club (every 2 weeks on Thursday afternoons); Indoor Bowling
(Winter); Stillington School (many uses especially over winter period); Table
Top Sales (1st Sunday of each month October to April).
We are always looking for more
regular or private bookings.

Gulshan
Restaurant (formerly The White Dog), Main Street
The White Dog
Inn was changed in the late 1990’s from being primarily a local drinkers' pub
into an authentic Indian Restaurant and Take-Away.
The
traditional country pub has been transformed into a welcoming and very
comfortable eating place, which is appreciated by its local regular clientele
and visitors passing through the village. We offer an extensive selection of
excellent quality Indian food at very reasonable prices, and for the early
diners we have an Early Bird menu from 5pm to 7pm on Monday to Friday.
Our Take-Away
menu and service has proved very popular and successful with those wishing to
have a change of menu at home.

The White
Bear Inn, Main Street
Well-known for its quality food,
ale and hospitality, the White Bear Inn is an attractive painted tavern, whose
history stretches back to the 18th Century, when it was a staging post providing
stables for coaches. It is a free house owned and run by Phil and Sue Robinson,
which offers a good selection of fine ales including John Smiths, Timothy
Taylors and Black Sheep and has an extensive choice of excellent food.
The comprehensive menu is
inscribed on a large blackboard over the vintage iron fireplace. Food is
available every lunchtime (12 noon to 2pm except Mondays) and evenings (5.30pm
to 9pm except Sundays). Special "meal deals" are on offer every weekday
lunchtime and weekday evenings until 7.30pm. Sunday lunch is also available from
