Library Services

The nearest library is at Easingwold (4 miles). It is open on all weekdays except Wednesday, and on Saturday mornings. For all opening hours contact the library on 01347 821706. A mobile library visits Stillington on a three-weekly cycle. It stops at the pond, West End; The Lane Cottages, North Back Lane and at the Village Hall on The Green.

Refuse Collection

Wheelie Bin collections are made every Tuesday morning; alternating between the green and black bins. Revised collections are notified for Bank Holidays. There is also a fortnightly blue box and blue bag collection for recyclables. Contact Hambleton District Council (0845 1211 555)

Recycling

The Parish Council encourages the recycling of any waste material. Bottle, waste paper, and tin banks are situated in the Stillington Sports and Social Club car park for the convenience of all residents. Plastic can be recycled at Easingwold at the Galtres Centre car park.

Reliance Motor Services run regular services around the local villages in York. A timetable of their services can be found in the Post Office or near the bus shelter on York Road.
