Manchester League Premier Division outfit Stockport Georgians are seeking a new management team to take over first team affairs. Prior to the 2-1 away victory against Breightmet United (4/2/06) it was announced to the players that Pete Varley and Kev Hope will not be continuing in their roll as First Team Managers for the 2006/07 Season. Pete and Kev will finish at the end of this season after one of the most successful reigns in the clubs history.
Pete and Kev have helped guide Georgians from a side struggling to avoid relegation, to double winners in their first full season in charge and also have led the side to 3 Gilgryst Cup finals in 5 years.
Georgians would like to thank Pete and Kev for all their efforts and tremendous achievements while in charge, and wish them every success in their outside activities. We hope to see you around the club still.
