Ringtones and Icons

Ringtones:

I've loaded onto my site a zip file with 1647 MIDI files in it to be used as ringtones. Some phones allow these to be sent directly either via infra red or serial cable (Eg. Siemens SL-45 and below), but some phones (Nokias etc) need them to be converted to .otd files and so on. Nokia's own software (and other manufacturers) are available from their websites and are absolutely free, so check them out.

To download all the MIDI ringtones I have available, click HERE.

I didn't make up these files, I got them from another source, and I'm aware that there are a few on there that are not really worth having, but a load of them are excellent.

If you have a polyphonic-ringing mobile and are irritated that there are no "factory-fit" normal ring-ring tones, I'd highly recommend "ring-ring.mid" available from this zip file. It's not perfect, but it sounds much better than you might expect from the preview.

In order to get absolutely free polyphonic ringtones, click here to go to tagtag.com. From there, search for "polyphonic ringtones" and you'll get a long list of WAP sites offering these for free. If you click on a link you're interested in, it will open the page in the tagtag WAP emulator (ie. you're able to see any WAP site on your PC) and you can search about from there. If you find something you like, simply type the URL into your phone and connect to WAP or GPRS. You can also access a host of other things in this way, such as free java games, and free colour backgrounds for your phone. Go on, give it a try!

To upload these images or the ringtones, you may require to download conversion software from your phone manufacturer's website. This software is usually completely free, so why not try the Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Siemens websites. Siemen's users may also like the Club-Siemens page, which is full of more free ringtones, Icons and Screensavers.

Icons / Operator Logos:

These files can be uploaded as operator logos, or caller-group icons. You may or may not need the conversion software supplied by your mobile phone manufacturer (See the bottom of this page for details of where to find it). In order to download the files shown below, right-click on the one you want then go to "Save Picture As." In order for these to work, you should save them as a bitmap (one of the options in the drop-down box below the file name option).

Take as many or as few as you like - they're free!
