News 30 December 2001 Tony O’Donovan wins the B Division of the No Tap
Competition at Lewisham, second place goes to Nigel Campey. 8 January 2002 Sid Dunbar bowls an 8 bagger on his way to a 254 game in the singles competition. Fred Roberts bowls a 218, his first of the season. The singles competition is led in the scratch section by Justin and Carol, although they both hold leads of under ten pins, whilst the handicap section has Sid and Denise leading. Still all to play for on 12 February. 15 January 2002 Wayne Shaw bowls a 7 bagger to help him score 268 in the second game. 22 January 2002 Trevor Eagle scores two 200 games for a 622 series. D-Generation X are knocked out in round 4 of the team handicap knockout competition. 29 January 2002 Tina bowls a 211 game her first ever 200. Gordon, Mel and Carol take the money in the Triple-X. 5 February 2002 The Smuggs are knocked out of the team scratch knockout competition. Tony O’Donovan scores his first official 200 of the season with a 222. 12
February 2002 Winners of the singles competition were Justin, Sid, Denise & Heidi. Justin scoops £50.00 by scoring the first 300 Triple-X of the season. 19
February 2002 Kevin H bowled a 266 game but failed to get a 600 series. The Zimmerframes are knocked out of the team handicap knockout competition. 26
February 2002 Mel, Tony, Rob and Fred R make it through to the quarter finals of the singles knockout. February Bowler of the Month is Rob after his 605 scratch series last week. Triple-X winners were Justin and Denise. 5 March
2002 Wayne, Kevin H (twice) and Willie make up he quarter finalists in the singles knockout. Intimidation go at the sixth hurdle of the team scratch knockout. Wayne bowls three 200 games for a 675 series and Gordon bowled a 626. 12 March

2002 The Northerners win the team scratch knockout competition, beating D-Generation X in the final. Scud bowled a 632 series. 16 July
2002 The Eagles beat No pressure in the final of the team handicap knockout. Gordon bowled a 266 game. 23 July
2002 Tony beats Rob in the final if the singles knockout. 30 July
2002 The last week of the regular season sees The Northerners win the league and Secretary’s Cup. Gordon, with a 300 and Denise take the monthly Triple-X prizes. Bowler of the Month for July is Scud. |
