Telecaster orientated and other stuff with no mention of Kilts or Gillian Anderson. Or marzipan. No.
Guitars, necks, pickups, strings and cakes - most players have their own very personal opinions and preferences. Most of the opinions here are "IMHO". And another thing, this page has no connection with Fender. Obviously.
Practice and enjoy playing!

Some guitar places I like to visit online. Yes.
Builders of guitars and suppliers:
USA Custom Guitars - Will build your Telecaster (or other) style neck or body exactly how you want it or you can choose from one of the literally hundreds of neck shapes they hold. Tommy at USA Custom is a pleasure to deal with. Before you go anywhere else give him a call/email and have a chat with him. At least the same high quality as Warmoth but with incredible service. Highly rated.
Vintique - Jay Monterose makes very high quality stainless steel hardware for your tele. His neck kit is particularly good. I can also recommend his replacement vintage style bridge.
Joe Barden - High quality noise-free ceramic replacement pickups for your telecaster. These pickups sound great. They are my favourites. However, they are very, very responsive, to the point of showing up any 'flaws' in your playing. Take some time to work with them and you will be rewarded with some great near-traditional 'HiFi' telecaster-type tones.
Bill Lawrence - Wonderful pickups in their own right, they sound more traditionally 'tele-ish' than the Bardens. Noise-free and real quality.
Stewmac.com - Just about everything you need to build a guitar on one site. Nearly...
Sites dedicated to one particular player or band:
Danny Gatton - The official site put together with much care by a friend of this wonderful guitarist. Read about Danny, see his guitars and amps, download some songs or watch some video of him play. Danny Gatton is my favourite player. He had amazing technique and an amazing knowledge of many American musical genres - but every time I listen to him he makes me smile:)
Roy Buchanan - "Sweet Dreams of Roy Buchanan" - A great fan site.
Albert Lee - A "nearly official" fan site (How
many times have you been asked to play "Country Boy"?...
Hellecasters - Official page. (Anyone remember an ad. on UK TV years ago for - I think - "Hush Puppies" that featured some nice playing by Jerry Donahue?)
Ed Bickert - Page written by a fan of the Candian jazz player.
Johnny Hiland - I only discovered him (through a friend) just over a year ago. This link leads to his official site.
Other Geetar sites:
Telecaster Discussion Page Reissue (TDPRI) - Probably the best (and certainly my favourite) Telecaster forum on the 'net. Also, see below...
Fender Talk - Discuss all things "Fender" with these friendly folks.
Fuzzy The TeleKing - Have a question about your tele? Need details? Lots of details? Visit this Gentleman's site or post a question here.
The TelePhiles - Are you one? Well?
The Tokai Registry - This link is here because my first B-Bender equipped geetar was one of these...
A little bit about me -
My name is Andrew and I live in the UK. I am 109 years old. Maybe. I started playing guitar at the age of eight when Santa brought me one for Christmas. Thanks to my Dad's quite wide ranging tastes in music I grew up listening to a lot of things I (probably) would have otherwise missed out on. As I got older and learned more about my instrument, cakes, and life in general, I met a lot of good people who helped me (either intentionally or by accident) develop and encouraged my love of music to grow. Some of them where only interested in making money from me but it's hard to avoid that kind of thing... I still have a lot of good memories from back then. So there.
I was lucky enough to end up playing guitar full time. That was probably one of the most interesting and exciting periods of my life. Some of the people I met back then I will never forget and some of them I wish I could erase from my memory completely! I played in pubs and clubs, on jingles and tracks for different writers and producers and was asked to write the music for a independant film. Mostly, I enjoyed doing all of those things, although due to the fact that I was relatively young at the time my head got swollen at the attention I got and I was sometimes arrrogant and a real pain in the arse. No, really, I was.
After some years of all this 'fun' my health took a turn for the worse. I couldn't play guitar anymore. I believe it was for the best as it gave me a chance to think about things and about what I wanted to do. Then I met my wife and my life changed in all the best ways. Now I want to play guitar again. I really don't expect to be able to play to the same level as before but that doesn't matter as I know that even when I wasn't playing my 'ear' continued to develop, and I have lots of different musical things to explore now. I still have some money coming in from my work back in those days, so I can afford to take my time easing myself back in.
That's all I want to say about me. Apart from the fact that sometimes I really miss playing with other musicians. I don't miss the writing or recording thing at all, but once in a while I wish I could play some tunes with people. Especially Gillian Anderson. She plays some great stuff on that Telecaster you know...
