xahdrez

xahdrez is cambridge born nick wilsdon. after previous commitments with various bands and projects fell through (most notably post-rock outfit too many zeros who released a split single with the oedipus, and a brief stint playing trumpet for the broken family band) following a relocation over the border to edinburgh, nick started devoting more time to his electronic solo-project. under the name xahdrez, nick creates a mixture of mellow electronica and laptop glitch with flourishes of trumpet and other live instrumentation. partially inspired by life in the city itself, this second release from nick features 5 tracks with the emphasis on the small details enveloped by atmospheric soundscapes, designed to keep your headphones nice and warm.
