Text Box: The Rob Taylor Memorial Garden
St Giles Hospice
Whittington
Staffordshire

Text Box: As you know Rob passed away in 2000, and it was his wish to see a tranquil garden at the hospice. Thanks to fund raising by Robs family, friends and workmates enough money has been raised to make his wish come true. Work has been delayed due to building a new extension at the hospice, however we have been able to make a start recently, these pictures show our intrepid "team" constructing the Gazebo which is the central feature of the garden

Text Box: Eventually, a block paved path will lead from the hospice building, around to a circular pond which be approximately in the centre of the picture. It will then go around the back of the silver birch trees to arrive at the gazebo.

Text Box: As you can see the gazebo faces away from the hospice, and the hospice is not visible when seated within it. The view is across open fields, providing a quiet place for patients and relatives. There will be flower beds and a water feature in the form of a trough and faucet sited around the gazebo.

Text Box: On behalf of Robs Family I would like to thank everyone who contributed to fulfilling Robs wish. Particular thanks go to Alan Rogers, Dick Perry, Stuart Kemp, Alan Vernon and Richard Brown for their help with this project.
