LEAGUE TRIALS FOR 2008/2009 SEASON
The trials for next season will be held on every Sunday in June.

Junior League Registration commences at 9.15am each Sunday with the
actual trials commencing at 10.00am.
Inter/Main League Registration commences 10.30am each Sunday with the
actual trials commencing at 11.00am

These are guide line times so please be patient as to organise these trials does
take time and it can not always run to time

The dates are:
FIRST FOUR SUNDAYS IN JUNE

SUNDAY 1ST JUNE
SUNDAY 8TH JUNE
SUNDAY 15TH JUNE
SUNDAY 22ND JUNE

No blades are allowed to be worn by players for trials or at anytime in our league.

Shin pads must be worn.

Bring plenty of water based drinks, fizzy drinks are not recommended.

Each player must attend at least two trials in order to qualify for selection to
a team.
(Trialling twice or more does NOT guarantee a player a place in a team)
Players only participating in one trial will be placed on a reserve
(passive) list and will only be considered for selection should there be
insufficient players available from the dual trialist list. Once the trials
have been completed selection meetings take place, where respective
managers select their choices for their teams.  Successful players are then
contacted by the individual Manager, to introduce themselves and
arrange pre season training/pre season friendlies etc.  Any players
not selected will be kept on the passive list and will be selected as
and when places become available for any particular team, due to
withdrawals etc.  Parents will be asked to register their children for
the league at the time of trialling. They will also be asked to pay £25
at the time of registration. This is made up of £5 registration/membership
(which covers insurance for the players) and £20 to register for the league's
200 club draw, which offers monthly cash prizes and helps the league with
the cost of pitches, kit and equipment etc. Parents will also be asked to fill
in a form for "gift aid" which enables to the league to claim back the Income
Tax paid from the Inland Revenue. It really is quite painless and only takes a
a few seconds to complete.
There is no weekly/monthly charge for matches.
Parents with two (or more) children participating only pay the one registration
and membership to the 200 club. Parents must inform committee members at
registration if they have other children already playing in the league, in order
for them to be selected for the same colour team. (It is important that siblings
are selected for the same team colour, it is not easy splitting yourself into two,
it invariably leads to there being one 10am kick off for one player, and 12.30pm
kick off for the other - also different teams train at different times).
