Welsh Celtic Fiddle Workshop Weekend and Competition 1st -  3rd September, 2006

There is a full schedule this year starting on Friday afternoon.  The workshops, sponsored by Whessoe, cover most aspects of fiddling and concentrating on Welsh music. There will be opportunities to play in groups and we will be including a basic Welsh workshop too. Another of our new workshops are for absolute beginners: Pat Smith will guide anyone through the first few steps of bowing stringed instruments.

The Competition, with prizes totalling in excess of £1100 from Dragon LNG, will be held in the 900 year old Pembroke Castle on Saturday Evening .

On Sunday - we head up to St Twynnells Church and give the organist a rest by accompanying the service

We will be catering, but anyone can bring their own necessities too. Local Hostelries serve food also. All linen will be provided in the centrally heated rooms but please bring your own towel!. On site parking is plentiful. There is also a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath and exercise room - just in case your elbows become tired with so much fiddling!
