The dream is over

Scotland 1 - Italy 2
Dodgy referee decisions aside, Scotland lost out on a place at next years Euro 2008 after a Christian Panucci stoppage-time goal gave the Italians the win they required for automatic qualification to Euro 2008.

Its been a rollercoaster of a campaign for us, when the group was first drawn we were never given a chance but a great start under Walter Smith saw up top the group & defeat the French at Hampden. Then under current manager Alex McLeish we completed the double over France with McFadden's wonder strike in Paris.

We now look forward to the future, 13th in the world rankings and hopefully now included in Pot 2 for the World Cup qualifers which takes place on 25th November.
