Jerry Zucker

Jerry Zucker

Born 11 March 1950, Jerry gave up his job as high school teacher in 1969 to form The Kentucky Fried Theatre group with long-time friend Jim Abrahams. After leaving their home state of Wisconsin the theatre group set up base in Los Angeles in 1972. Many of the early sketches performed at the theatre would later be transferred to ZAZ's big screen debut KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE.

Away from the ZAZ team Jerry has had great success directing and producing such films as GHOST, MY BEST FRIENDS WEDDING and RUTHLESS PEOPLE. Currently, he is producing and directing a remake of IT'S A MAD, MAD WORLD, starring John Cleese, entitled RAT RACE.
